Binance P2P
2.8/10 total
The order-book-style P2P desk inside the Binance exchange, not a separate venue: it uses your Binance account, your Binance wallet and Binance's compliance stack. When a buyer opens an order the seller's crypto moves out of their Binance spot wallet into a Binance-held escrow balance, and if either side appeals, Binance customer service reads the evidence and directs the coins to one party. Since Binance made Intermediate Verification mandatory on 20 August 2021, government ID and a liveness selfie are required before you can trade at all, so treat this as a KYC'd exchange with a peer-matching front end.
Scores
Weights are published in the method and applied identically to every entry.
For
- No platform fee for buyers or sellers on P2P trades
- Deep liquidity and tight spreads on major USDT and BTC fiat corridors
- Escrow lock is automatic and instant, and the appeal path is staffed around the clock
- Hundreds of local payment methods across 100+ fiat currencies
Against
- Mandatory government ID and face verification; there is no way to trade without it
- Binance holds the coins in escrow and decides appeals with no external arbitration
- The account is a full exchange account, so a P2P dispute or a compliance flag can freeze your whole balance
- Binance Holdings pleaded guilty to US criminal charges in November 2023 and paid a $4.3bn resolution, and the platform has withdrawn P2P from several jurisdictions at short notice
- The real price is entirely in the merchant's spread, which is invisible unless you check spot yourself
Agent access 3/10
There is a C2C endpoint set in the Binance API, but it is gated to approved merchants on a fully verified account, so an ordinary agent with a funded wallet cannot use it.
Reported separately and not counted in the total. It measures what an autonomous agent can do unattended, not whether the service is safe to use.
Fees
0% own fee
Binance charges no transaction, escrow or ad-posting fee on P2P for either side. The entire cost is the merchant's spread against the spot rate, which on liquid USDT pairs is often well under 1% but widens sharply on thin fiat corridors and unusual payment methods. Compare the ad price to the spot market before accepting.
